Online classes offer students the flexibility to learn outside the traditional classroom. Most courses start on specific dates in August, September, January, February or May and meet for 16 weeks or 12 weeks. A qualified teacher is available to answer questions, respond to assignments, grade exams, and designs each course. All courses meet the goals and objectives of the same courses offered in the traditional classroom and transfer to other institutions in the same way.
Online courses provide an enriching and engaging environment for learning. Kirkwood online student can take advantage of the same learning supports the college makes available to all student. You can find more information about these in your course syllabus.
Kirkwood Community College has been approved by Iowa to participate in State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA). SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.
