Introduces the theories and skills used to analyze and understand communication variables affecting human relationships, such as personal perception, feedback, idea development and nonverbal cues. Emphasizes practical application of theories and principles to develop writing skills essential to encounters in contexts of occupational communications. Includes writing business letters, resumes, memos, instructional materials and reports, and using visual aids, taught through a blend of formal lectures and student participation.
